Like all Refuge weddings this one was indeed gorgeous and being that Andy and Josie’s wedding took place on national Hula Hoop day we had to throw in some hoop shots!
Gorgeous weather and fabulous moments made for some truly gorgeous pics and video! Our whole team was out capturing all their beautiful details of the day. Here are some of our favorites from their photos, be sure to check back as their video will be here soon!

So we love all the unique and amazing weddings we get the opportunity to be a part of, and Kim and Angie’s wedding was no exception! These two found a spot that was beautiful and moving and chose to have their closest friends and family by there side while the exchanged vows. Super small, and sweet, oh and the most amazing backdrop you’ve ever seen.
This portrait session couldn’t have turned out any more beautiful than it did and we are so excited to share some of our favorites. Now since every view is breath taking we couldn’t help but share a lot of their pics! Enjoy and yes this scenery is real 🙂

Your wedding vibe will be set by the color palette you choose. When deciding, ask yourself which tones you have always been drawn to. Which colors evoke feelings of joy and love when you look at them? To identify your vision and offer yourself some clarity, start planning by making a mood/vision board. Gather clippings from magazines or fabrics you love from craft stores and arrange them on a piece of corkboard, so you can see how they look together. Vary the shades and textures of materials. You can add pops of other colors, and you may come up with a combination you never thought of. Or, you might find out you’ve unconsciously known your wedding colors since you were three.
When choosing wedding colors, try to keep it to three: dominant, support and accent. Consult the season, your favorite bloom, your idea of bridesmaid dresses or colors of the venue (if you’ve already chosen it) for inspiration.
April showers bring May flowers, and your spring wedding is seeing green. When choosing a color palette for your spring wedding, you might look to pastels and earthy colors. As flowers bloom and grass grows, springtime offers new life, symbolic of your wedding day. Bring … Read More »
talk about a gorgeous setting, these two really picked maybe on of my favorite spots I’ve seen to have their wedding take place. I’ve never really been much of a beach girl and the mountains and their vast views where extremely breath taking. Brandon and I plenty of creative inspiration for all of their portraits. Actually we had an over load!
To date Angela and Daniels first look photos are my favorite. Such an amazing open view for such a sweet moment! Take a moment to view all of our favorites from Angela and Daniels gorgeous Arizona Snowbowl Wedding in Flagstaff Arizona.

The feel and vibe throughout every wedding is always unique. From each couples guest list to incredibly well thought out decor. Gina and Ryan’s wedding photos tell their wedding day’s story exactly how it felt as we where there that day. So many candid moments capturing special relationships and memories! We visited so many gorgeous locations in Coronado on that little island that really put together some great wedding photos. Starting at the Lowe’s hotel with their breath taking views, and then onto the ceremony at a little spot on Coronado Bay and to finish their night at the Yacht Club in Coronado.
Here are some of our favorite moments caught from our crew of their sweet and classic wedding day!

Like many weddings Jeff and I have a tough time picking through our favorites, well this one was no acception to that rule. We had so much fun with this group and all of their friends and family, which is what makes the photos so great! A bridal party that was up for anything (even intense heat) and tons of amazing details and great moments that make all the photos so full of love and fun!
We really felt in and a part of Mallory and Andrews group! They got married at a gorgeous Country Club in Corona, Ca on a super hot day! I kept threatening to jump in the pool, but it never happened 🙂
They did a wonderful job of putting together an outstanding group of vendors helping everything to be the absolute best! So if you’re a couple looking for great Southern California wedding vendors check these guys out!

If you’ve browsed through our blog then you’ve seen these two. It seems like a lifelong friendship leading up to their wedding day. Thats maybe the BEST part about what we do. We get to know our couples on such a level that it’s actually bitter sweet once the big day is over. Maurice and Pascale we’ll never forget meeting you two after emailing back and forth, the phone calls, texts etc.
Pascale deserves an award for the amount of thought and detail she put into her wedding and the little pieces that made it so unique. Not to mention looking absolutely stunning on her wedding day! And Maurice you deserve and award for your help and role as a groom to be! You Maurice have to be on record the coolest easy going groom ever! As you both know you totally rocked each and every photo-shoot we’ve ever done together and working with you both has been nothing but a truly fabulous experience!
