I started assisting Jeff at weddings back in 2005, I got to use his back up camera to try and grab photos from a different perspective at each wedding I’d attend with him. After a few events we started to realize we really made a great combo together. I’m not sure if it’s because we are married and we understand each others thought patterns so well or it’s just plain luck! I guess thats what 14 years together will do for ya!! Like Jeff I’m quite the sappy romantic myself, I still cry everytime I see our brides walk down the aisle and I can’t wait to hear the Maid of Honor and Best Man speeches at the weddings we are fortunate to photograph.
Being a wedding photographer we both feel very fortunate that we are invited to be a part of such an important day in a couples life, and I love more than anything getting to see it all unfold and really seeing who these happy love birds truly are.
Working in front of the camera for 11 years as a print commercial and editorial model I really learned how people can move and position themselves to look their best in photos, so in a unique way I really feel like I have alot to offer my brides and grooms! When I’m shooting I really strive to find the real emotion in my pics, I love tightly squeezed hugs and eyes whelled up with tears. I’m that photographer thats just waiting for you to cry or burst out into laughter with your best friends.
Working with my husband as photographers side by side has always been a blast. We constantly push each other and even get a little competitive, but hey its all in good fun and we all need a little shoving around now and then When I’m not clicking away or editing down my photos for our couples my MAIN job is Supermom! Jeff and I have a gorgeous little girl named “River”, who always keeps us laughing and on our toes! We love spending time in the summer on the lake on our boat and jetskis, and playing with our dirt toys in the cooler months.
I love to get to know the couples who we get the honor of working with, so if you have a question or just want to say hi I’d love to hear from you!
